Potty Training
This is a common request, that we do NOT offer because its nearly impossible to effectively train outside of the dog's home. HOWEVER, we have found that most issues are actually rooted with the lack of basic obedience and/or the owner is expecting too much too soon of a young puppy.
1st step: buy a crate and crate train
2nd step: instill basic obeidience
3rd step: Reach out to us with additional questions

Tips to set you and your dog up for success and maximize your efforts:
- Bring with you to your courses: training treats, a clip on treat pouch, & a long line (at least 10 feet- though you won't need this until week 2)
- Get accustomed to using a collar, rather than a harness for training. (Don't worry, we can help if your a harness user!)
- Ask questions if you don't understand. That's what we're here for.
- Use the SAME simple word for each command. (don't use 2 or 3 words interchangeably for the same command)
- Do your homework! Consistency & frequency is what will progress your dog. 2-3 five to ten min sessions daily will keep it fun for you AND your dog.
- Vary your training environment. In the beginning, dogs may behave totally different in new environments.
- Feel free to reach out to your trainer each week between lessons with questions and/ or feedback.
